Day 16 went by like a blur and just as I was about to do the update, I got called out by my work. So no update yesterday.
So day 17 it is and England bow out of the competition earlier than expected. Germany and Argentina progress to the next round and both look strong. As they meet in the quarter finals that could be the game of the tournament so far and one of the main contenders for the title will be heading home early.
In the prediction league, Animal is now 13 points ahead and cruising. AnyonebutEngland and PinotGrigio are both worthy of a mention for climbing 23 places since the start of week 3. This shows how much movement can still be made in the league.

Tomorrow brings us Holland v Slovakia and Brazil v Chile, which could leave us with a Holland v Brazil Quarter final. Who knows.....
